What is FUJI-GO?

Step inside the legendary "FUJI-GO" (Douglas DC-8-32, Registration: JA8001)—Japan Airlines' very first jet airliner, a portion of which is carefully preserved right here in our Haneda hangar.

Affectionately named "FUJI," it debuted on the international Haneda–San Francisco route in 1960 and was retired in 1974. Renowned as the "Lady of the Sky" for its elegant silhouette, the aircraft welcomes you into a beautifully preserved interior. Explore the cockpit—originally operated by up to four crew members—and the luxurious lounge adorned with traditional Japanese shoji wooden frames and Nishijin-ori woven seats, all kept exactly as they were during its golden days.
